Shields Marina is located in St. Marks, Florida, just 20 miles south of Tallahassee. Operating since 1952, we provide a range of storage options including indoor dry storage, outdoor dry storage, covered wet slips, and open wet slips. Our facility features a double boat launch and transient slips accommodating vessels up to 65 feet.

In addition to storage, we offer boat, kayak, and paddle board rentals for exploring the local waterways. Our 6,000-square-foot Ship Store carries tackle, bait, and boating supplies. We also have a service and a parts department, making Shields Marina a complete resource for boaters in the North Florida region.

Now offering boat, kayak, and paddle board rentals — cruise the St. Marks and Wakulla Rivers, explore the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, or head out to Apalachee Bay for a day of Gulf Coast fishing. No boating license required.

We had a problem making it to our reserved boat rental because of a medical emergency. Lori worked with us and helped us with a reservation that worked with our schedule. We are very thankful for the service we received. We highly recommend this place.

I'm a long time customer of both the ship store and dry storage. I had concerns that the Shield's attitude of community service would be lost in the change of ownership. I see now those concerns were unfounded. I was just in there, having gotten myself in a pickle, needing something they didn't sell and that couldn't be found within 20 miles. They gave me one out of their business's stores. That, folks, is helping out neighbors, and not only when there is money to be made.

Just south of Tallahassee and is an awesome place to buy or sell a boat. The technicians are amazing. Mr. Brett seems to know every regular and acknowledges each one every time. The store staff are always courteous and welcoming. Sure the city dock ramp is a few 100 yds. away but I always choose to launch at Shields. Pro tip...use the left side of the launch, it is level. The right side is close to a berthing platform and has some excess concrete.

Love to ride our bikes from off the railroad trail and sit at the picnic tables in the covered area beside the water at the marina. Bathrooms are always clean! Boaters are fun to watch. Last week we saw two dolphins and we have seen manatees and my any species of bird life often.

Never done any business here and won’t. Tried to buy a $1900 terrova and the owner will not sell any higher end minnkotas without you paying them to install it. And wouldn’t give me a price to do the install unless I drove all the way down there with the boat. Thankfully jacks boats and trailers had the same terrova and it had the heading sensor and correct remote with it. Even took me over to a boat they were installing one on and gave me some pointers. Seems kinda crazy to run a customer away because you wanna force people to put extra money in your pocket!!
